The Dave Ellis Pro-Am Golf Tournament

The Dave Ellis Pro-Am Golf Tournament continues to establish itself as one of Canada’s longest running golf tournaments. On June 4 & 5, 2023, the Club once again had the privilege to play host to the annual Pro-Am competition, now in its 37th year.

Over the three decades, this tournament has now single-handedly raised over $760,000 for the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation.

Dave Ellis was the son of a Bracebridge physician and became an incredible well respected golf pro at the Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club. He had an extraordinary passion for life, people and the game of golf. His enthusiasm was infectious and his friends are still involved in organizing the event every year.

The Ontario Provincial Police - Andy Potts Memorial Golf Tournament

Approached in 2009 to host the fourth annual golf classic, Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club saw the opportunity to once again reach out and lend its support for a worthwhile foundation.

Provincial Constable Andrew J. Potts was a proud member of the Ontario Provincial Police, and family and friends created this event to celebrate Andy’s life and give back to the community he loved and served. The funds generated during these events are dispersed to charities which benefit the citizens of Muskoka.

Brad Stevens Memorial Golf Tournament

The tournament has raised over $225, 000 since its inception in 1998. These funds have been directed to provide kids with and affected by childhood cancer with unique opportunities for growth through challenging, fun, enriching and magical experiences. MLG&CC is proud to help support such a worthy cause.

Port Carling Lions Club

Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club is proud to support the Port Carling Lion’s Club. For over 75 years, the Port Carling Lion’s Club has helped the community make a difference for the less fortunate, including local children and seniors, and patients of the South Muskoka Hospital. We look forward to once again be called upon to support this pillar of the community.
